The long (very long) awaited update to Silverwolf 1.3, Silverwolf 2.0 is finally here. Silverwolf version 2.0 will
be commonly referred to as Silverwolf 2 since for all practical purposes, it is a completely new application, completely
rewritten from scratch, but why lose the cool name? Here are some of the highlights:
- Linux-Based
- Entirely Open Source
- Full Touchscreen support; original Silverwolf 1.3 RF Remote support planned for next release
- Full Skinning support including skin libraries
- Audio Player with MP3 support; OGG/Vorbis and FLAC planned for next release
- Video Player with DVD ISO, MPEG2 and limited AVI and MOV support; others may be added with next release
- Easy-to-use Import/Export module
- Fully asynchronous speech synthesis
- Spectrum analyzer and other Visualizations; 4 available now, more like Goom, etc. planned with next release

EasyTC is a simple utility that gives any computer with a soundcard the ability to read and generate IRIG-A
timecode, to an accuracy of ±1.5ms (the IRIG-A signal is only accurate to 1ms). Dedicated IRIG-A hardware, especially IRIG-A timecode generators can
be extremely expensive. Can this application completely replace a dedicated reader/generator? If you
need fast AGC response, microsecond synchronization accuracy and multiple format conversion, no it can't. But if
you simply need a reader accurate to within 500µs then this application can save you thousands of dollars.
It can also be configured to regularly update the host computer's own system time so it can itself be used as
an NTP server.
